TOPCOAT F11 REVIEW (Asked By Customers) – Autocornerd

When browsing social media, you may have seen ads for f11 topcoat spray. Today I am going to show you my review of the topcoat f11 detail spray. This is a very common product, especially in the automotive world that is designed for use in cars, trucks, and SUVs, and I was very excited to try it out. but can it really stand up to the name f11? I’m going to do a full review so you can see if this spray is worth it or not.
what is f11 topcoat?
topcoat f11 is a detailing spray marketed as an all-in-one spray polish/sealer. topcoat claims that f11 spray can replace car wax, polishing in less than 1/3 the time it takes to wax.

according to the company, f11 spray could replace anything related to auto body cleaning in your garage if applied correctly. Furthermore, according to the description, the f11 spray is safe to apply on any surface such as plastic and rubber, as it will not cause cracking, discoloration or damage, like other products. According to users, f11 makes black plastic parts look really good.
a user says this:
“I like it, it works great, I used it on a caddy, 3 oak end tables, ceramic shower stall and 2 counter tops. good stuff!”
The f11 spray topcoat kit comes with a microfiber cloth to apply to the car. The maximum amount of F11 spray needed to coat a standard vehicle is no more than 3 oz. when applying f11 spray be sure to divide the surface of the vehicle into sections. you can check my nexgen spray review. also has the same method.
is f11 topcoat spray really good?
topcoat f11 is closer to a polymer based spray wax, nothing special. topcoat f11 gives a pretty good gloss. keeps water spots and stains on all black plastic. according to users,
f11 spray is suitable for quick detailing as the material looks good immediately after application. however, you shouldn’t expect long-lasting results (or fewer swirls, etc.).
a user says this about the f11 spray:
“I use it more as a quick clean and not necessarily as a replacement for polish. for a quick detail, I’m happy with it.”
my friend has sprayed f11 on his sea doo. this is what it says:
“f11 is great on my sea doo as I can do a quick detail and shine and it’s safe on the graphics. it also keeps water spots and smudges down on all black plastic, which was a major problem last year.”

here is what another user shares about their experience with the f11 topcoat spray:
“The gloss quality of the f11 spray topcoat was similar to other products I use. one unique thing about f11 though is that a week after applying the third coat I hand washed the car a couple of days ago with just water, a soft cellulose sponge and no soap as top coat recommends and it looks very good. what’s interesting is that it wasn’t even that dirty to begin with, after a week of no washing, plus two days of rain and road spray.”
one person has documented their journey of applying and testing f11 spray over the span of a few weeks in the form of a video series.
here are the videos:
part 1:
part 2:
try another car that hasn’t been washed in 4 weeks. only 3 coats of f11 spray were applied.
A person sprayed f11 on his boat that was in dirty water for a few days.
this is what he said:
“My boat was in the big lagoon, pensacola, florida, for 2 days, without any water stains. so far i am satisfied. I also used it on the sides of the hull and the top, seems to be holding up so far.”
here are some comments I found on youtube:
“I used it on my 03 sequoia and it works great. it looks like glass on paint and water droplets are so much better than wax. now I have 3 layers and it has never looked better.”
One person shared photos of their car after applying a coat of f11 spray. this is what it looks like:

“I bought a 32 oz bottle and used it in my 69 judge show car and our son 86 grand national show car. I can definitely see the black paint show on the gn and reflect it better after using it.”
is f11 a ceramic tile?
f11 spray is not a ceramic coating. in fact, f11 can’t even be considered ‘polished‘. is a clear, polymer-based solution that penetrates the automotive surface to protect and seal the surface. f11 spray is just a quick detailer spray that gives your car a clean look. Protects the car’s finish from the elements and helps maintain the appearance of the paint. does not require much maintenance.
can you use f11 on tires?
yes, you can apply the f11 spray on the tires of your car and even on the rims. topcoat f11 spray is heat resistant and excellent for plastic, glass, metal and tire sidewalls.
this is what an amazon user has to say about using f11 topcoat on tires:
“I use it on my entire vehicle, tires, rims and all. I love watching the water collect after a good rain.”
in the video below, the person is applying f11 topcoat to the wheels of his car:
the bad thing about f11 topcoat spray
The first bad thing about topcoat f11 spray is that it is advertised as a polish, which is a false claim. polishing needs abrasives, you can’t polish paint by spraying something on the paint and rubbing it and then rubbing it. I sprayed some on my finger/hands to see if it had any abrasive qualities, it didn’t. it left a weird feeling on my fingertips, reminding me of when i sprayed wd40 on my hands and it dried.
then when applying f11, you’d have to use a fair amount of pressure when you’re polishing it. if you don’t apply pressure, it will leave streaks and some residue and just won’t show up very well on your paint.
next, f11’s name is also misleading, “coat”. the coatings have been out for years and last a year or more depending on the coating. If the car body coating is properly formulated, there is no need to reapply after a month with a true coating. liners do not wash. coatings do not fill in paint imperfections. f11 is more like spray polish, something like that.
Lastly, the f11 spray is too expensive as the company is spending tons of money making attractive ads to promote the product on social media. f11 only has a nice unique benefit of easy wash jobs if applied frequently. also, it gives a really nice slippery feel to the paint.
so if you’re really lazy about car maintenance, you can use that f11 spray.
how long does f11 finish last?
f11 top coat can last more than 3 months if you don’t wash the car. but every time you do it with soap, the smoothness and shine start to diminish. I found the following helpful video on f11 spray durability test.
cheaper alternative to f11 topcoat
Tortoise wax is a great cheaper alternative to f11 topcoat. I applied Turtle Wax Ice to my white Buick and could tell I couldn’t see much of a difference for the huge difference in price. continues & just as easy.
