Hatchbacks remained the body type of choice in India, with total sales of 105,892 in the month of August. The list was dominated by offers from Maruti, with 7 of its models in the top 10 best sellers. Maruti’s Baleno premium hatchback, which was also the leader in the overall sales charts, took first place, beating the Wagonr which finished second in hatchback best sellers.
