Maruti WagonR stood at 4th rank among the top 10 selling cars for the last year. Although, WagonR get a negative feedback for its design since always, but well-grounded understanding of the customer needs within the company’s product planners has resulted into continuous upgrading of the model. The tall boy has been vastly revised since its inception in India. The company accumulates total sales of around 12,000 units every month, while in 2013, 1.61 lakh new buyers took WagonR to their home.

The fifth best selling car in India is the Mahindra Bolero. however, the bolero does not have many customers in urban cities, but the rugged off-roader has been the first choice for buyers in rural areas. The rugged utility vehicle comes in different body shapes and serves a wide range of buyers in the country. India-based automaker M&M delivered almost 1.10 lakh units of Bolero in 2013.

Hyundai has been the county’s second largest car maker with a total of 9 models on offering in the market. The company introduced its most affordable hatchback, Eon, few years back in India positioned the model against the Maruti Alto. Though, the marginal difference between Alto and Eon is huge but model still managed to place itself at 6th position among the top selling cars in India. Hyundai sold almost 90,000 Eon last year.

The most sought after MUV in India is the Toyota Innova that managed to got sold equal to around 64,000 units in yesteryear. The company has been selling around 5000 units every month.

And finally the list is getting ended with a Maruti product again. The introduction of Ertiga has helped the company to garner a lot more sales in the segment which was unexplored before. The Ertiga has become as a consummate alternative for the segment leader Innova. The model has got a strong foothold in individual buyer and the commercial market as well. The company managed to sell nearly 60000 Ertiga last month while maintaining the monthly sales for almost 5000 units.
