me. how the automatic browser works

a. pre-qualification for car financing:

Prior to visiting a participating dealership, submitting an application to prequalify for auto financing will allow a review to determine if you prequalify. But don’t worry, it won’t affect your credit score. If you prequalify, you’ll be able to see your monthly payments, years, and offers for vehicles you may be considering.

And while we can’t guarantee that participating dealers will display every vehicle they have available for sale, you can still use your pre-qualification at any participating dealer. Don’t forget that your pre-qualification can only be used to purchase a vehicle for personal use. inventory availability is subject to change without notice.

c. personalize your offer:

Adjust things like your down payment, term length, and more to create the deal that’s right for you. remember, you can use your mobile phone to set up prequalified financing for the vehicles you’re considering and compare your options at the dealership.

d. buying from a participating retailer:

When you visit a participating dealer, show them your auto navigator prequalification offer for the vehicle you’d like to finance. when available, prior to visiting the dealership, may provide you with your most up-to-date personal, contact, residence, income, and employment information, as well as proposed financing terms, pre-qualified status, vehicle information you may are interested in financing and have saved cars at that dealership using the “check availability” button (this feature is not available to all dealers and is not a required step). if you choose to do so, you will also let the distributor know your preferred method of communication so that the distributor can contact you to discuss next steps. When you arrive at the dealership, you can test drive the car, complete a credit application, and provide all the information needed to review and complete your financing. An application for credit at the dealership will result in one or more inquiries being posted to your credit file. After negotiating the terms of purchase and receiving credit approval from the dealer, you will sign a contract with the dealer that reflects the terms of purchase and financing. your purchase will result in a retail installment agreement with the dealer as the original creditor.

ii. capital one auto financing restrictions and important information

a. client age, status and income restrictions:

To pre-qualify, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid mailing address within the contiguous United States. a valid apo/fpo address also works. auto browser is not available to residents of alaska or hawaii and post office box addresses cannot be used as an address in your prequalification application. the minimum monthly income required is $1,500. In addition, any existing principal account must be in good standing (ie, not over limit, past due, or delinquent).

b. prequalification offers:

Pre-qualification does not guarantee that you will receive financing or any particular financing term, which is subject to change based on Capital One’s evaluation of your credit application submitted to the dealer and any required documents, and may vary by dealer selling the products. vehicles you are interested in financing. your capital one prequalification expires 30 days from the date your prequalification request is received. If you recently applied for and financed another loan with Capital One Auto Finance, you may no longer be eligible to obtain a new loan with your Capital One Auto Finance pre-qualification. any other financing offer is subject to the terms of the party offering the offer.

Your capital one pre-qualification can only be used at participating dealers, but don’t worry, there are plenty to choose from. this is what is required to finance a vehicle:

  • a new or used personal car, truck, minivan, or SUV

We do not offer financing for commercial vehicles, motorcycles, recreational vehicles (RVs), ATVs, boats, motorhomes, motor homes, vehicles with a history of chronic failure and/or manufacturer or dealer buybacks (also known as lemons), vehicles with brand title or vehicles without vehicle identification number (VIN) or issued title. we may determine that a vehicle is commercial or ineligible based on the model and/or information provided to us.

e. financed amount restrictions:

For new and used vehicles, the minimum amount financed is $4,000. the amount you’re pre-qualified up to is based on your income, key credit characteristics, the vehicle you’re buying, the specific dealer you’re buying the vehicle from, and/or the details of the financing agreement, such as if you trade in a vehicle. this amount is also subject to verification of the personal income you put on your prequalification application. the amount financed may include the dealer’s advertised price, taxes, title, license fees, dealer fees, and any optional products, such as a service contract and/or extended warranty, you choose to purchase from the dealer. capital one auto finance may not provide financing for all optional products offered by a participating dealer.

f. participating dealer requirements:

Capital One Auto Finance provides financing for new and used vehicles purchased from participating dealers listed on Auto Navigator. participating dealers are subject to change. In addition, we do not offer financing for vehicles purchased from nonparticipating dealers, auto brokers, or private sellers.

iii. participating lender restrictions

a. eligibility for participating lenders:

Eligibility for auto finance prequalification from participating lenders is determined by the information you submit, along with the personal credit profile from the credit reporting agencies that Capital One obtains through your browser prequalification application. automatic.

You may not be eligible to submit a prequalification application to participating lenders; therefore, if you are not eligible, you will not see an option to do so.

Participating lenders may have their own eligibility restrictions, such as requiring you to be at least 18 years of age, live within the contiguous United States, meet minimum income requirements, and purchase a vehicle for personal use. that meets the specified year, make, model and/or mileage restrictions.

b. prequalification offers:

Pre-qualification does not guarantee that you will receive financing or any particular financing term, which is subject to change based on the participating lender’s evaluation of your credit application submitted to the dealer and any required documents, and may vary by selling dealer the vehicles you are interested in financing. the expiration of your prequalification is subject to the terms of the lender and may be different from the principal. If you have previously qualified for auto financing with a participating lender and do not see that prequalification when you log into your auto browser account, you can access your prequalification on the website where you submitted that prequalification request.

Some participating lenders may have membership eligibility requirements, and some may pay a principal if you finance with them.

c. participating dealer requirements:

Participating lenders provide financing for new and used vehicles purchased from participating dealers, and those dealers are subject to change and may vary by participating lender.

iv. auto browser product terms and disclosures

a. * pre-qualified auto financing terms:

Your pre-qualified auto financing terms, including monthly payment and annual percentage rate (APR), are not final until your financing is completed at a participating dealer with the lender offering auto financing. these prequalified auto financing terms are based on the information you provide and may change if you update any information on the auto navigator website, with a participating lender, or at the dealership. capital one and participating lenders do not guarantee that the dealership will provide you with all of the terms outlined in your prequalification offer. online terms are provided based on common monthly increments, but other terms may be available from dealer when vehicle is purchased. however, not everyone qualifies for each of these terms.

b. ratings and reviews:

We love hearing what our customers have to say about Auto Browser. and all of our customer reviews are submitted by validated capital one customers who purchased vehicles using auto navigator. some product ratings and reviews may be from customers with different versions of the product shown above.

c. third party information:

capital one uses information from third parties, otherwise available, to help improve your auto financing experience. Third party information includes, but is not limited to, trade-in values, car pictures, dealer-reported mileage, fuel economy, dealer-advertised price, and car details and car history reports. Remember, third parties, including the dealer, provide this information and Capital One does not sell vehicles, does not sell any optional products, and makes no express or implied representations or warranties regarding the accuracy of the third party data. information.
